How We Use Personal Information
We manually process personal information collected via the enquiries page on our website, emails and letters we have received, and conversations via telephone, SMS text message, WhatsApp or Skype for the purposes of dealing with your enquiries and requests, administrating orders appointments and bookings, maintaining lists of customers that wish to be kept informed about new developments, and carrying out market research for the development of See Tech More Clearly and its associated projects.
We automatically collect information about every visitor to our Website through the use of Matrix Stats (see below.)
We no longer sell items we have made directly through our website. If you have bought items we have made, refurbished, or offered as goods for sale via Ebay, Gumtree, or by request at the time of a visit or during another means of contact, the payment processing requires collection of your name, address, phone number, email address and basic personal details, as well as details of items or services purchased.
Payment Information
If you pay us directly for a service via online banking we can only identify your payments from the information you have given us or that is displayed on our bank statements.
If you pay us by card by clicking the green “Pay Now” button at the bottom of one of our invoices, or by telephone, your payments are processed by Stripe. Credit Card and payment processing details for these payments are only partially visible to us at the time of the transaction. If we take your card details over the telephone as part of a payment, the details are not kept or stored anywhere and are only used for the purpose of taking the payment at the time of the transaction.
If you pay us at point of sale by card using a card machine, these payments are managed by Zettle, a PayPal company. The type of card used, the last four digits of the card and the location of where the payment was made are stored securely on the Zettle website. Receipts issued by Zettle include location details to help identify where payments were processed. See Tech More Clearly does not store these details directly.
How We Collect Information Manually
If you email us we keep your email address and other details you have submitted within your email and store them on our main office computer and keep a backup copy on secure online storage that can only be accessed by the Proprietor of our business. If you fill in an online form and click the “Submit” button, the details you entered in the form are emailed to us directly, and therefore kept as if you had emailed us directly.
If you telephone us or write to us we may record personal information that is relevant to the services you are interested in. For example we would record your name and address if you wanted us to send you a brochure.
If you have used a form on our website to tell us that you wish to be kept informed of future developments products and services, you may return to the form on our Website and unsubscribe at any time. If you have submitted your details to be included on a mailing list, we keep those details until you remove them or ask us to delete them.
How We Collect Information Automatically
We never collect personally identifiable information automatically.
Our Website automatically creates log files so that it can work effectively, and we can analyze the data using a service called Matrix Stats that is provided by the company that hosts our Website. Matrix Stats can show us information about how each visitor to our Website uses it, which pages they visit, as well as other technical information such as which operating system their computer uses and which internet browser they were using, as well as the time and date of their visit. The Matrix Stats data allows us to ensure that our Website is available and works on as many different types of equipment as possible including personal computers, tablet computers and mobile phones. We can only access the data by logging into a secure part of our website that is not available to the public.
What About “Cookies”?
A cookie is a small piece of information sent by a web server to a web browser, which enables the server to collect information from the browser and store it on the user’s computer to allow the Website to track future visits and provide the user with a more personalized experience.
We do not use Cookies ourselves, but we do use Google and PayPal to provide some of the services available on our Website. Both of these organizations use Cookies, details of which are included in their own Privacy Policies.

Disclosures
We will disclose personal information to successors in title to our business and suppliers we engage with to process data on our behalf. Any Information we have collected may also be used for crime prevention purposes if required.
GDPR
We comply with the General Data Protection Regulations that came into effect at the end of May 2018. Details of our compliance are available by letter on request.
Other Websites
Our Site may contain links to other websites which are outside of our control and are not covered by this Privacy Policy. If you access other sites using the links provided from our Website, the operators of these sites may collect information from you which will be used by them in accordance with their own privacy policy, which may differ from ours. We do not share information with any other organization other than if it is appropriate to do so in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
